Kira Disapproves

I am currently working on a mystery story, in part for a contest I’ll be entering. It’s really hard and I can’t seem to hit the right note of intrigue while still letting the reader know what I’m doing enough that it’s not frustrating.

 This girl does it in about 100 words.

Sigh.
